My sister Margo is the outgoing chair person of this charity and she has been on to me for a while to do an event for them to raise funds. Sep 2 2008, 6:35 AM EDT Its proposed to run this years Poison Glen tour for Noreen Mc Garvey who has been left in a wheel chair after a car crash in Dunlewy. Noreen is four years of age and her Uncle Paul Mc Intyre is a member of the Four Masters cycling club. Sponsorship cards will be handed out at the club race tonight and will also be available from Eamonn Tinney & Sons & Bizzcards in Letterkenny and Caste Cycles in Raphoe, or by contacting any club member. Sep 5 2008, 5:56 PM EDT Due to the large number of people who contacted the club wishing to take part in this event and support Noreen,but feel un-able to manage the 73 mile course we have added a second route to this event which is a 34 mile circuit. This run will leave the community centre at 11.00am with sign on open for this run from 10.15am. Leaving Letterkenny the course will take the same route to Kilmacrennan . Turning left in Kilmacrennan the run heads to Termon where it turns left towards Glenveagh National Park. From here it turns left again and heads towards Gartan Lake where it rises up to Churchill village, and back to Letterkenny. The route map for this course can be downloaded below.
