The College of Commissaires Stage 3 Report - Road Stage Ras Dun na nGall 08

Limerick cyclist, Brian Quinn, was the winner of Stage Three of the Bay View Hotel Rás Dhún na gGall this afternoon (Sat), crossing the finish line at the head of a large sprint group. He finished the 85-kilimetre circuit in two hours, eleven minutes and twenty-eight seconds.

The stage was contested in bright sunshine and large crowds out to see the spectacle, especially in Ardara and Glenties and at the start and finish in Killybegs.

Despite several attempts, no group succeeded in breaking away from the pack during the stage.

The final stage will start at 12.30 p.m. tomorrow(Sun) and will be held over 87 kilometres, including the long climb up Glengesh Pass between Ardara and Carrick.
