The 2008 club racing season will kick of from Tuesday 6th May. This year the calender for club racing has been slightly altered with time trails and road racing week about.
The first event of the season will be a 10 mile time trail from the usual spot below Newtown on the main Derry to Letterkenny road. The race will start at 7.00pm sharp with 1 minute intervals between competitors. This event is open to all levels of cyclist but a minimum of a club licence must be produced on sign on. Entry fee for club racing is €3.00 and helmets must be worn.
The 26 mile road race circuit which has been used in previous years is in poor condition this year so an alternative circuit may beis needed.required. This Moreyear infowe onare thisgoing to followdo once5 alaps clubof the slab circuit in Burt which is decision25 miles. The start line is made.beside Burt chapel and the race will be finishing 1 mile from Burt Chapel. All cars are to be parked in chapel car park
