Well another Rás Dhun na nGall has come to a close and all concerned including riders, support teams and organisers are enjoying a well deserved break on this the June Bank holiday Monday.

131 riders signed on to start the 2011 Rás Dhun na nGall, sponsored by the Nesbitt Arms Hotel and the Ardara traders, but on 74 riders succeeded in conquering the famous Glengesh climb on the Sunday evening, giving you some idea on the high level of racing and the conditions which had to be battled.

The Four Masters Cycling Club would like to thank all who made this years event what it was. Big thank you must go the Stephen Mc Cahill, Nora Molloy, Nesbitt Arms Hotel and the Ardara traders who got behind this years event and could not do enough to accommodate us in Ardara. We must also thank, Alice Sherrit, Frank Gibson, Tom Keenan and Gary Mc Ilroy for the superb results service all weekend. The Commissaries Aaron Wallace, Oliver Mc Kenna and Mark Kavanagh, and everyone else who worked so hard all weekend. Brendan Quigg for providing the broom wagon service, and all the marshals who braved the elements to make this a safe event for all.

A special thanks must also go to Marian and Tommy Lamb for the superb stage by stage reports which can be got on the links below.
